Congress Investigates IRS Assault on Tea Party

Congress has begun an investigation into intrusive and unconstitutional letters sent by the Obama Administration’s IRS to Tea Party and other conservative groups.

Representatives Darrell Issa, Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and Jim Jordan, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs, Stimulus Oversight and Government Spending, have sent the IRS a letter (http://c0391070.cdn2.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/pdf/issa-jordan-letter-to-irs-regarding-intrusive-tea-party-questionnaires.pdf) demanding it account for its recent “overreach and selective enforcement” of rules governing the tax exempt status of certain conservative and Tea Party organizations.

Nothing will come of it. The congress has no power to do anything to the ones who they are seeking to investigate for criminal conduct. They have no control over the irs which the demokrats use as their political attack dog.
