.380ACP FMJ or Hollow Points for SD

Hi Mas,

I know how you feel about about the .380 used for SD, and, I agree with you. However, having a P3AT mouse-gun with 2.7" barrel (not as a primary CCW), I was thinking penetration with Hollow Points might be minimal. Perhaps it would be prudent to use FMJ to ensure sufficient penetration? However, would using FMJ produce over penetration? What do you think, and/or what has been your experience with similar mouse-guns?

.380 FMJ has been known to overpenetrate. I'd personally use controlled expansion bullets if restricted to that caliber.
