Hello N_Johnson13

Depending on the price, that may be a good deal.

It looks like it's an Ivy Bridge version which should be a *sweet* performer - that's actually a pretty *studly* machine that should do video and graphics work pretty well for you, along with some mid range gaming.

If you have the bones, go for it!

The current tech is going on sale now to make room for the new Ivy Bridge systems, so there may be other bargains lurking out there if you are interested.

But that's a sweet machine that should serve you well through 2015 - looking pretty Windows 8 ready too!

I am hoping that by general do everything laptop, you are not just looking at e-mail, facebook, glocktalk and watching YouTube.

The hardware that you are listing sounds like it would be suited for some "heavy-lifting"

Depending on your financial situation, you may consider finding a laptop that fits your specific needs.

That is not an ivy bridge i7, it is sandy bridge. Still a beast though.

As far as being windows 8 ready, bleh. I installed the beta in a vm and promptly deleted that vm. At this stage, it sucks.
