Advantage Tactical Sights

Mas,

Do you have any opinions concerning these sights for CCW? I use multifocal lenses and traditional sights are difficult for me to visually acquire. I'm attracted to the quicker sight alignment aspect of Advantage sights, but hesitant to give up "night sight" illumination.

Also, do you have an opinion as to how you would shim the front sight to correspond to bullet point-of-impact? (POI) More specifically, would you recommend a certain target distance where POI would correspond to point-of-aim? (POA) It would seem desirable for POI to equal POA for longer defensive distances (such as, for a head shot at 25 yards)

I've used them quite a bit on a Glock 17, both for carry and for competition (IDPA and GSSF). I find them very fast and great as "geezer sights." Plan on a couple hundred rounds to get acclimated.

I sight in the old way, and sight in at 25 yards and then do enough shooting to know where to hold at other distances. Seems to be the most common approach, probably for a reason...:-)
