45+p 230grn.

I was wondering about your opinion on +p loads for the .45 230grn loads. normally I always use +p in all calibers for SD but is there really much benifit to running +p 230grns out of my combat commander for SD. my current carry load is the GD 200grn. +p, I'm looking at the HSTs standard and +p 230grn.

230 grain +P hi-tech hollow points are great .45 ACP loads. I'm particularly partial to the HST in that format. However, recoil is palpably snappier and for those who don't reload, there are no analog training loads that duplicate the recoil.
