The Socialist candidate who won promises to do nothing about immigration which is France's biggest problem--sort of like the Democrats and Republicans in America. If you want to see into our future, watch France.

Angela Merkel is clearing immigration at Charles de Gaulle. The clerk asks, "Business or pleasure?". She replies, "Business."

"Nationality?". She replies, "German."

"Occupation?"

"No, I'm just here for a few days.".

Out with the old. In with the new. Now... if the republicans and conservatives will get their act together and focus on the economy and not silly side issues that are waste of time and effort, we may get to see the squatter put in the street along with his gangsta regime. Just remember, it's still the economy. That is what matters to voters.

it would be nice if we could watch and actually learn from the French as they try again :whistling:, but we have to be able to discern the right from the wrong.

This is exactly what's happening in the U.S. Austerity? Hell no, just put your heads in the sand and vote for the guy who tells you everything will be alright.

Kind of reminds me of Jeb in Texas.

The Greeks have voted to reject austerity programs. They want to continue spending.

The French have voted in a Socialist with the goal of more government-sponsored stimulus to revive growth. We have tried a TRILLION dollars of this. It failed miserably.

The French Socialists plan to raise money by raising income taxes on the very wealthy to 75 percent and plan to hike taxes on companies that distribute profits to shareholders instead of investing in their business.

Anyone who can't see how this will play out is blind.

Collapse.

The pending nature of which is about the only thing that keeps the US Dollar from becoming toilet paper.

Watch Gold prices soar on Monday.

Making their base bigger through immigration, same as the Democrats. If you can't convince a majority of the people already here legally that you should be in charge, then just make a deal with the people who are here illegally and who want to come here.

If Europe is the crystal ball of what is going to happen here, economically and politically, and it sure looks like it is, we are in for a s**tload of trouble. (And, by "we", I mean middle class taxpayers).

No. Those who own and operate the german govt. would not hear of it. Such a move would for them not produce a good financial result.

Instead of the word "Frenchies," you might prefer to use:

"Those pretentious, brie-eating, beret-wearing, red-wine-swilling, hairy-armpit-loving, man-purse-toting, surrender-monkeys."

It's looking increasingly likely.

Germany is however stuck over a barrel of it's own making; their economy relies on it's captive Eurozone market to buy it's exports, but it's customers are busy debasing the Euro.

It won't keep the sun out of your eyes, and there aren't many things quite so silly as having a piece of black wool on your head in Texas heat. That was Shinseki's biggest blunder.

And that was why it was a huge blunder. Might as well give everyone purple hearts cause they look cool. He took something that was a source and symbol of pride for people that had to work Very hard to get it, and gave it away to everyone. Only slightly better would have been to go with the tan beret for the regular troops, and leave the black one for the Rangers. Scares the hell out of me having this guy as the Secretary of Vererans Affairs.

Still, soft caps are much more useful. Picking uniform items based on their fashion sense is a little queer. No pun intended.

LOL!!! Good one!

I used to drink with a guy who was of German heritage and married a woman of French heritage. When they were expecting his first child he told me that he felt sorry for the poor kid because he or she would not know whether to start a war or to surrender.
