As a large handed personal/home defense glocker I just had to post my feedback on the Gen 4 Glock 27. I have owned and shot Glocks for several years now and also shoot 1911's and revolvers. I have experimented with concealed carry quite a bit. While I enjoy shooting my 21sf the most and cannot complain about my 19 for concealed carry this 27 would be the one glock I would keep IF I could only have one. Why? Large backstrap and texture fit and feel great - solid grip. Never thought I would like my pinky hanging underneath but it actually helps the solid grip. How does it shoot? As accurate as my 19 and felt recoil with the double spring makes it feel the same shooting. I carry an extra 22 magazine for a spare - no need for a mag extender. The good news is that the Gen 4 26 and 27 were not affected by the recent recoil spring issues - I can vouch for that with the flawless function after several hundred rounds.
I have one also and have had no problems at all.
My 27 has been my daily carry for 3 years. Perfect and flawless. I did de-horn the frame - I personally like the rounded nose better. 27 is an excellent choice for multiple situations.

Glad to hear the great report on the 27. I have a Gen 3 27 and would want no other gun on my person for SD. It's a great shooter and I've had absolutely no issues whatsoever.
Many people have this as their favorite Glock (enter Barth and his pics :whistling:). I like it a lot.

I love my G27 Gen 4. I carry it on a daily basis and at 6'8" and a biscuit shy of 350 I know the OP's pain about large hands and this gun was one of the only sub compact guns on the market that seems to fit my hand well. Also, I haven't messed with the backstraps maybe if I did I could get it to fit my hand even better. I am in the process of working on a 1000 rd review of my Glock 27 for my blog. Maybe changing the backstrap could be another good piece for my review. Thanks for the idea.

I have a Gen 3 G27 and it's just as accurate as my G23. Outstanding accuracy for a small handgun. Love it !!!!

If I need to make sure I hit something the 27 is my Glock of choice. I shoot it better ten any of my other. No pinky extender or anything. Just a set of tall sight an I'm good. It has been my right hand man sine my first range trip with it.
Sent an iPhone 4s sitting next to a Glock 17 loaded with 19 round of +P+ ammo.
The Gen 3 G19 is my favorite.

I also love my Gen4 G27, and I carry a 22 mag as a spare to. Have been carrying it for a little over a year. I used to carry the Gen3 G26(fine gun), but I just feel more comfortable with the 40. I started out carrying 155 grain GD, then I switched to 165 grain Ranger T, and now I carry 180 grain HST.

I have a Gen4 G27 and like the new grip texture. The nice thing with this gun, I bought an aftermarker LWD 40-9 barrel ported G23 barrel that shoots amazing. Hickok45 said that is his favorite Glock pistol.
Ditto on the G27 love. She's my favorite.

What?!? How can that be?!? Anyone who reads GT will hear countless stories of how "snappy" and "uncontrollable" the .40 is. And especially the sub-compact 27!!! It's the devil's hand cannon!
OP, I'm another one who loves my 27. It's easily my most carried pistol due to high temps and light clothing in my part of the world. I'll never understand those who can't handle the .40 round. I've been rocking .40's on and off duty for over 12 years and if I had to pick one, it would probably be my faithful, accurate G27!

You big fella's should try a 29 out. Just a bit larger in every way but is 10+1 instead of 9+1. I've got both, the 29 is actually softer shooting with much hotter ammo. 165 GD handloads @ 1300 from the 3.75" tube.

So I added a 34 Gen 4 and must say it is a nice shooter. Many criticize the sights but I must say that I always have shot well with the stock Glock sights. These are adjustable but also have a wider notch in the rear which I find helps. 3" groups at 25 yds is better than my G17. I find the large backstrap makes all the difference in ergonomics for X-large hands and the new texture is superb. Hope to shoot some practical pistol competition, at least that is my excuse for the purchase!

The 27 is a sweet shooter, I had a Gen4 version and I want another. They shoot so good, and very accurate too.

I love my G27 Gen 4. If I could only have one pistol I believe this might be it. PS don't tell obammy about the whole one pistol thing cause I love having a few more.
