I do to from time to time. I remember once I had broke into the top 100 posters, but I would imagine that I have long since fell by the wayside.

We won't go that fast. We will be able to go .90 for 5000 miles and .85-87 for 7000 miles. It should be a cool plane.

Give that there aircraft to us at McDonnel Douglas, we'll put a decent landing gear and a hook on it and you're all good.

Good for you getting to fly the new type, amigo. :elephant:

Looked it up on the Gulfstream website; awesome plane! One question, though; one of the pictures showed what looked like a mid-air refueling probe coming out of the nose. What's up with that?

tous
05-11-2012, 18:21
CJ, it isn't a refueling probe, it is an instrument package used on test flights to gather engineering data.

I will admit that if it t'ain't a McDonnell Douglas product on your deck, a Grumman will do nearly as well. They have made some remarkable aircraft ... none of which G19Tony is allowed to fly.
Or even get within 100 yards of.

I believe this particular aircraft held the climb to time record for prop driven planes for a while. They say it is much easier to fly than a Mustang as well. But what would I know, I am not a pilot, just a sim flyer
