View Full Version : PPQ vs G 19, my veiws !
I have both and thought of sharing what I feel about them (Keeping aside the erraic ejection issues my G 19 has)
PRO : Great grip, great trigger, longer slide release, ergonomic take down catch,
CON : Mag release bothers the non-shooting index finger, release needs some time to get used to, muzzle flip
Glock 19 : everyone knows here so why write again, I specially like the 19 gen 4 recoil
I think that PPQ just has everything that I would miss in a stock G 19, and would have to get aftermarket parts to make it like a PPQ like the ghost connector, beavertail, and the grip plug.
Both are great guns. I prefer the PPQ. Being a lefty it is much more ambi friendly.
For me it is more accurate, the grips are so much better and the trigger is so sweet.
Don't worry though. No lose of love for my Glocks.
I was all jazzed up on getting a PPQ. I finally got to hold one, and just wasn't inspired. (To be fair, I've been on a tight-wad kick so I've been more critical of purchases.)
My main interest was because I just don't like the G19 (I've had 2, and wife has G23c), but favor the G19 size for carry, so an alternative in a different gun has been appealing to me (like the P2000 for example). While I didn't compare them side to side, from memory the PPQ felt a bit bigger in the hand, maybe somewhere between the G19 and G17 (yet wider than either). Is that an accurate assessment? :dunno:
I had a PPQ but sold it due to the unusual muzzle flip. Took the money and got this beauty!
Both are great guns, whichever you like better get that one. I like both but Id go with my the one showing in my Avatar space  To each their own.
G19 for me. The PPQ just doesn't do it for me. But, to each his own.
I've shot my Glock 19 and PPQ with the same ammo at the same time and while the PPQ might have more muzzle flip I shot it better than the 19.
I prefer the ppq over a g19. Shot both side by side and PPQ just simply felt better in my hand and had a better trigger.
I'd really like to shoot a PPQ.
