I wonder how many of you guys use imfdb.org? It stands for international movie firearms data base. When it comes to guns in movies you can find about anything about any gun in any movie anytime. I love the site, I have used it for years, and I have learned as much on that site as I have just about anywhere! Just curious as to who all uses it, and inform those that don't know about it to give it a try. It doesn't just list guns, it gives tons of facts, so check it out if you haven't already.

I've checked it out a few times. But just like IMDB (Internet Movie DataBase), it stands for Internet Firearms Movie Database.

I'm on there quite a bit.

Whenever I see a gun I don't recognize in a movie or TV show, I pop on there and it helps point the way to which model it was.

It is a pretty darn good site to look up what is I'm movies. Pretty accurate from what I have seen. If you see a glimpse of a gun they usually have a still with it blown up with something written about it.

I just checked it Sunday night on the way home from the theater. We saw The Raven and I was wondering if any gun in the movie was actually period correct. The film is set in 1849 and I'm pretty sure I saw at least one 1873 Colt and I'm not sure the cap and ball guns were correct either. Alas, that movie isn't listed yet.

Ive checked out that site a few times, good info. Helps solve a lot of the "what was that gun" debates.

I look at it quite a bit when I've got time to kill at work. I often use the "random page" function for some added variety. Fun site.
