Greedy liberal progressive democrats love tax laws. There are never enough tax laws, never enough slimey ways to part you and your hard-earned money. What's yours is theirs and what's theirs is theirs. Heads they win tails you lose. sonnsabiches.

Unfortunately, enough Republicans contribute this problem as well. :steamed:

I guess it never occurred to Chucky Cheese Schumer that its his actions, and those of his lib friends that is driving these folks away. It reminds me of when David Patterson("The Blind Wonder") said if he knew that raising taxes would have pushed Rush Limbaugh out of NYS, he would have raised taxes along time ago. These turds just don't get it. All they want is your money

Good idea. If they want to play in the U.S., let them pay. Personally the rate proposed is not enough, but it's a start.

It's worse than that; not only do they want to chase money out of the country, they don't want to let it back in.

Schumer's idiocy knows no bounds:To Saverin, Schumer said, the measure encapsulated a "status update for him: Pay your taxes in full, or don't ever try to step foot in the United States again."Sure, because it's in the US' best interests to prevent billionaires from doing business here.

"We're not targeting one person, we're targeting all people who have done this over the past 10 years," Schumer said, rejecting the notion that the bill could be unconstitutional.Yeah, a retroactive tax on non-citizen non-residents. That'll work out great. How does this guy keep his job?

Because a majority of New Yorkers are stupid. Same as it is here in Oregon.

I agree, he came here and used the freedom of this country to get rich. If he now wants to give up his citizenship ( to evade taxes ) then he forfeits anything he gained by being a citizen. If he is not a citizen I think we have the right to get as much of his pie, that he makes here, as we can. We should be doing this to China and all other non citizens making $$$ in this country.

This country is more than its government. He created a lot of wealth and a lot of jobs. He earned what he got. He doesn't owe the US government a dime.

Exactly. Who is going to invest heavily in a country where they can't even visit to conduct business?

Of course you agree.

Those with even a rudimentary understanding of the behavior of money realize how absurdly destructive such policies are.

They do pay....many times more than you ever will. Why don't you pay your fair share and quit being subsidized by folks like Saverin?

This.

I think Bruce wants to tax people such that no one can ever be more affluent than he.

Still haven't heard the answer to my question - when is the last time you were hired by someone who makes less than you? Not the HR director. The person who signs the checks.

Hitler did the same thing to the Jews in Nazi Germany. If they left the Fatherland they left pennyless. If they stayed the turned to ashes.

Do you now see that in one way or another everything belongs to 'The One'?

Freedom? 35% doesn't sound like freedom to me. But don't worry. That's going up to a little over 39% next year. Freedom?

It's not just NY. It's the population in general. Word of caution, never use that in an argument about why so many self proclaimed conservatives didn't support RP.

Seems they get real mad about being a part of the majority when that's brought up.

So let me get this straight. It was only the freedoms of this country that made him rich? It wasn't his business model and financial savvy and hard work?

Exactly which freedom did he exploit? The highest corporate tax rate in the world? The highest tax bracket for individual income earners?
