I have never been a big fan of the 40 S&W round.I got rid of my last 40 last month because I have just not been able to shoot the 40 very well compared to my other calibers.
As of this month I no longer had a 40 or a Glock. But yesterday I made a trade for a Glock 23 with a co worker.I can shoot this gun better than any 40 I have ever shot.I like it so much I shot 850 rounds out of it the first day I had it.
I am now going to use it in my Defensive Class this summer and I am going to use it as my Primary Carry Gun.
I am in love with a 40 for the first time ever.
I am a happy man!!!!

Congrat's. 1st gun I bought in retirement and will never give it up, it's that good.

Congrats. I like the 40, I have more ACP and more 9mms but I still like my 40s.

Thats good! I have a Gen4 22 and I don't shoot it as well as my Gen 3 17. I even prefer the Gen 4 grip. I can shoot the 22 fine, but I certainly can't hold as tight of groups with it. Could be the gun, not the caliber though.

Congrats love mine also

Congratulation! I enjoyed reading the "happiness" in your post.

There is nothing like owning a gun that you can just shoot and hit what your are aiming at to put a smile on ones face.

Love my G22 but would have gladly chose the G23 if it were the same price and condition of the G22 I bought used. Enjoy.

Congrats, I love my G23!

What can I say... I grow on people.. :)

Seriously though, I don't know if I would have used the .40 much if I hadn't first experienced it out of the g23. It's a really great way to launch the 10mm kurz, or the 40 short & weak.. lol

Congratulations, the G23 is a fine pistol; very versatile also, like the G22, but easier to carry.

I see a Glock 27 in my near future.

I see a Glock 27 in my near future.

You may want to shoot that first otherwise you may come to hate the 40 again.

Congrats, there's something about the 23, the perfect Glock IMO.

If I get my hands on a RTF2 G23, that'll be the Glock I keep for life.

If you ever get a chance to shoot an H&K USP in .40, go for it! A fantastic gun for the caliber.

G23 is my daily carry.

I realized that I haven't been shooting my 40s for the past few months. I've been really enjoying my Gen4 26, which became my EDC.

So today I took the 22 & 23 to the range. I forgot just how much I love them. I'm putting the 23 back in rotation.

The G23 is a fantastic pistol!!!!! Congrats!!

A good friend (US Capitol Police officer) was issued a G22.
I have the G23.

He shoots my G23 a LOT better than he shoots his issued G22.

There's nothing 'wrong' with his G22, btw!!

Just out of curiosity, what other guns didn't you love?

But if G23 works for you - great. I expect to own one one of these days too. cool size, great price, really reliable, .40, and convertable to 9mm very easily. Hard to hate on it.

Did I read that right?!!! 850 rounds of .40 thru your G23 in one day?! Wooooow!!:wow:

Lol!! Well I'm glad you're back in the Glock Forhtay Club!!

By the way, would I adopt me as a nephew?! A guy who blasts almost 1k rounds of .40 S&W down range for the helluvit must be "Papa Roll The Dough"! :tongueout:

Out of curiosity, did u run the 850 straight, no cleaning?
