View Full Version : My CZ P-01
I gotta tell you guys that I am a big long time fan of Glock. I have a CZP-01 and it seems to be the G19 of the CZ's.
Other than it having it's disadvantages , lots of parts as compared to a Glock , what other disadvantages are there to them ? Just wondering .
Congrats they are extremely nice pistols. I have a 75B and it is built like a tank and very accurate and reliable. The PO-1 is on the topic of my wish list.
Among other CZs I have a P-06 (the .40 cal version) I am not a big fan of alloy frames but it will still probably out last me, and I don't care for the blocky front end compared to my compact. I like it as a "Smaller than Fullsized" .40 and am happy to have it as a carry option. BTW it's blazingly accurate at 25 yds.
The P01 and the 75B have been some of my favorite handguns. I mad the mistake of selling my P01 sometime ago and will buy another next time I see one.
I do not see any disadvantages as you were asking for. If I'm not mistaken, it is NATO approved. There is no Glock with that rating that is at least available to the public.
-difficult to access the firing pin
-firing pin retaining pins can break (don't dry fire it)
-slide is hard to grasp and rack
I had one of those, wish I still did. Hang on to it, they are keepers.

Definitely one of the great handguns of all time. I find the stock trigger to be among the most challenging to shoot really well, but a little custom work can fix that.
I have a CZ P-07 and it's a hell of a gun. It's light, very well made, and incredibly accurate. This gun has quickly taken over duty as my EDC.
I have the P 07 and the SP 01, both are top shelf. The SP 01 is by far my favorite pistol.
CZ is awesome and I would pick up the P01 or a C75B in stainless or nickel if I wasn't trying to get a P226 next.
LowPriceGuns has the P01 http://www.lowpriceguns.com/product.php_379329 (http://www.lowpriceguns.com/product.php_379329) available, everyone else around this area has been out of CZ anything for a while.
I recently got a P01. Very sweet indeed. But, I just picked up a P228 CPO and it rivals the P01 in terms of feel. But, I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, so we'll see how it shoots.
My only issue w/ my P01 is the sights. They make GI sights look like a sniper scope and no one makes sights for them except for CZ custom, Meprolight, and Big Dot.
limited holster choice is one downside. I love CZ's though.
