New Sig P220 Carry

Bought a new 45acp Sig P220 Carry. It's just the regular version with night sights. Reason I bought it is I fell in love with my friend's P220 Dark Elite. His is a full size though. I wanna carry mine.

Here's a pic of it. I won't receive it till tomorrow. I'm pretty excited about this pistol.

Yeah Mike. It is EXTREMELY accurate. It's effortless. Don't know why I didn't get into it sooner. It feels just like a 1911 just with Sig like reliability. The full size Dark night version I held was very light too which caught me off guard.

Thanks guys. It's amazing. Once I receive it tomorrow or the next I'll take more pictures of it. Btw it is the carry version.

Does anyone know of a good grips for it? I looked at Hogue and didn't like any of them.

Yeah I bought a nice set of wood grips designed for a standard 220, the damn slide stop and de-cocker wouldn't allow them to go on. I haven't tried any kind of aluminum or g-10 "slim" grips though. Maybe those will work?

Nice gun! Sig's are some of the best handguns ever made. I too want a 220 carry but I'm looking at the SAS Gen2 version.

The 220 series are some really sweet shooters to be sure!

That is why I bought the threaded barrel just in case I deiced to get into suppressors. My LGS said the will help with all the paperwork. I'm still on the fence about it. :dunno:

I really don't see any real need for suppressors personally. It's also so much money for it initially. For me I think it'll be fun in the beginning and then boring afterawhile.

The 220 replaced my 1911 for ccw and made it a range pistol. I like its reliability&accuracy and safe hammer down DA/SA with no thumb safety to foul or get knocked off or on at the wrong time.

Great pistol.

I've had one for a few years now. Never had an issue and eats and spits out everything I have put in it.

It is now my back up carry or rainy weather carry (shoulder holster under jacket).
