Not a lot of choices unless he can hunt up an old FIE single-action wheelgun something-or-another. I think that it was made in Germany? In .357 Mag and .44 Mag. Damn, I can't recall.

But for currently available, there are the Ruger Vaquero and Blackhawk/SuperBlackhawk options, and Colt also releases another version of the New Frontier in .357 Magnum.

If we open up the caliber selection, then also some of the various Colt SAA reproductions/simulations out there, such as from Beretta, Uberti, Taurus, etc.

Which wouldn't be a bad choice but it also opens up ,38-40., 44-40, 44 special, 32 mag. 32-20, but some of those ae avilable in the Ruger lines as well as .45Colt/,45acp and .41 mag.

Heritage (owned by Taurus now) makes a .357
http://www.heritagemfg.com/site/department.cfm?id=52

Beretta Stampede also comes in .357

Didn't see anything from Rossi, so maybe I was only thinking of their single shot they used to make, and their current western style rifles.

Yeah, lots of .45 colt out there, but also .44-40, .44 Russian, and .38 special, among some more obscure stuff.

If you want a SA 357 mag, just go with a Blackhawk.
