I decided to shoot in my club's Saturday night IDPA practice with my new Dan Wesson Guardian .45ACP instead of my normal Glock 34. The DW Guardian is an aluminum frame commander bobtail that comes in 9mm or 45ACP. Mine is in 45ACP. The gun had about 150 rounds through it prior to shooting last night. Now has another 100 or so through it. Ran flawlessly as always. Magazines were Wilson Combat 47Ds. Ammo was Federal American Eagle 230gr FMJ. Overall it was a joy to shoot. Recoil of the 45 in an aluminum frame gun was much less of an impact on speed vs my normal 9mm Glock setup than I feared, and I think I was more accurate too! I was having some issues on a few of the headshots though as you'll see, especially the shots under the low bar. Awkward angle! Hope you enjoy!
