Does anyone have any experience with this particular P220? I'm wondering how the trigger feels, and how the safety works. I'm assuming it's cocked and locked with thumb safety up. I guess what I'm really wondering is how it stacks up to a 1911 in terms of trigger pull and overall feel, particularly the width of the pistol. I would love to get a sig someday and I'd like to know more about the SAO variant of the Sig P220. Thanks.

Sig P220 fan here. The trigger is nice, but will have more take up and reset than a good 1911 trigger.

All of my current Sigs are traditional DA at the moment because that is what I am used to. I would love to have a SAO P220, but it would be for fun only so it isnt in the budget anytime soon.

I used to have a 220 Compact SAO, the trigger was light, but has some creep before it breaks. Not as smooth as a good 1911 trigger, but not bad either. They come with an ambi safety that works similarly to a 1911.

Sig triggers are great from the factory. Can it be better? Yes. Nonetheless I don't think anyone can complain about the trigger on one of these things.

There probably isn't any semi auto pistol that has a trigger as smooth as a 1911. I think I'm just gonna get a 1911...

I'm sure the Sig is great. It's just that there are so many 1911's to choose from!

I had a p220 SAO pistol that I traded for a P229 Elite Dark and wish I hadn't. Don't get me wrong, the 229 is fantastic, but I should have kept the 220. The trigger was as sommth as you are going to get to a 1911 with a little more creep.

I'm thinking something more GI style. Maybe a Springer of some sort. I'd like to get a colt maybe. I'm thinking something with a firing pin safety though.
