I am going to run to Tulsa this weekend and MIB 3 3D is going to be playing at the iMAX. I haven't seen any of the MIB pictures, would this be a good picture to watch in iMax and 3D, as I have never seen a iMAX picture:headscratch:

You should rent the first two Mark. As far as 3D goes, I think it's overrated. IMAX movies are cool though. Have a good time in the big city my friend. :wavey:

At the very least, watch the first one. The second one can probably be missed, but the first is more important.

Okie, watch I and II. They are both GREAT!

I would definitely watch the first two if you want the full experience of number three at IMAX.

Watch both 1 and 2, and you will get Rosario Dawson at her most delectable.

I throughly enjoyed I and II. This is a fun movie and I want to see III.

Go. You'll have a good time.

Saw MIB III and it was good. But NOTHING in it would benefit from being in 3D. .

Lara Flynn Boyle was excellent in MIB II. First time I ever lusted for anything with tentacles, IIRC.

I agree with all of the above, with one possible exception:

NOTHING in it would benefit from being in 3D.

I think the time travel sequence was meant for 3D.

Watch the first two, definitely. I'm thinking of going to see it tonight actually...I re-watched the first two yesterday to prep for it.

Mrs. LTB and I saw it Memorial Day. We opted for the standard screen, not IMAX or 3D. I didn't see anything in the movie that would be improved with 3D.

As to the movie, it seemed that Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones phoned in their roles. Smith didn't exude the on-screen energy he is known for in the first two. Maybe that was the point. Both seemed like they were ready for retirement. It was an okay way to spend time with Mrs. LTB on a hot Louisiana afternoon. I wouldn't pay evening price. Take the cheap route.

If you see I & II first, you will appreciate the many homages.

At a minimum, watch the first one. If you don't have time to watch the second one, you'll still understand what's going on by watching the first one.

The Imax is loud and very loud and the scenes are cool. I have never watched a MIB movie at the theater but it should be pretty good. I saw Avengers and it was great in Imax. I then saw Dictator in regular and it was a funny movie.

Next is Battleship this weekend and then the Witch movie..forget the name.

You should enjoy the Imax experience. Have fun.

The first MIB was a fun, exciting movie.

The second MIB was a dull, lifeless, stinking turd.

All the reviews I have seen of the 3rd MIB suggest #2 was better.

Anyone else notice the not era correct S&W in the movie? For the other cool period correct stuff, one would have thought that they'd get the revolver right...

My wife chuckled with me over that one.

I saw the original in the theatre. HATED it. I b-worded all the way back to the car. "Ninety minutes??? NINETY MINUTES!!! They couldn't come up with a bit more plot than that????"

Then I saw it on TV and realized it was a pretty good (albeit campy) movie. Saw #2 on DVD with the kids - THEY loved the franchise.

We are headed out this weekend to catch it in 3D for sure. We were supposed to last week, but Avengers was still in 3D so we decided to try that instead. I don't know if it's me or the way they do 3D now, but sitting in the middle of the theater, it seemed the effects were easier to see and less strain on the eyes than in the past.

It's a goofy not-needed technology, but the kids like it. I dislike shelling out another $15 for the 3 of us on it.

I'm an MIB fan. Hope Josh does a good K.

Josh does an excellent K!!!

If anyone phoned in a performance it was TLJ, who has the gravitas to pull it off.

eta: Joaquin also did a nice job. I couldn't place his face until he took off his hat.

yah, 3D, not sure if it's worth it for this one (Prometheus? yes!) But MIB III was fun, definitely better than II IMO.

I do think you should see "I" before seeing "III".

i highly doubt that considering her performance in clerks 2. the rooftop dance scene and her entire dialogue about atm both jump to mind. lol

The action was hotter in Clerks 2, but she is prettier in MIBII. I saved the dance scene on my DVR.
