New Posts

I use to get close to 500 new post when I hit the new post button, now if only get 200. Has some thing changed on the site or did I do something I didn't realize I did?

I would say some older posts have been pared away, or archived.

I only check every other day, I can't imagine threads would be archived in that short of time.

Same thing has been happening to me, too.

Choosing either "New Posts" or using the "Today's Posts" option under Quick Links, results in a maximum of 4 pages of new posts displayed.

Tried logging out & clearing cookies, also attempted with a different browser...

Still getting the 200 maximum posts like "utah" reported.

Well, I am new to this forum and as I am new and a free loader I am not allowed to post on most of the Threads, if I understand the rules it states I must have 40 some odd postings to be eligible to do that, so I said all of that to say this, maybe if they loosened up the rules a might there would be more postings.

If this is happening to many people, it may be evident to forum admin's, because of the greatly reduced thread view counts - over the last 3 or 4 months.

This same problem, posted about above, persists...

Saw a thread mentioning reduced thread views, replies, etc., and believe it is associated with some type of technical forum error.

May be something to look into... Hope this helps.

I would hazard a guess that it's an admin adjusted number. Perhaps to make the site faster or to save bandwidth. I get 200 as well.
