"It depends on what the definition of is is" - Bill Clinton

Government officials, including presidents, have their own concept as to what words mean.

In the words of the immortal Richard Prier... "Who you gonna believe me or your eyes?" Fast an what? I don't know what your talking about. Nobody told me notin. I know everything that is going on under my watch but I don't know what this fast and furious thing is. Oh fast an furious. Why didn't you say so in the first place. Its not what you think it is. Fast an what? Those E-males don't have anything to do with fast an furious even though they talk about fast an furious. Fast an what? Never heard of it. :whistling:

My favorite part, "We'll just let the media have this." Bwaaaaaahahaha! Yeah, I'm sure they'll get right on that!

If I could control events of this nature, I'd start Holder's impeachment trial on or about 15 October 2012.

But that's wishful thinking.

GOOD IDEA!!!

But you'd have to impeach him and remove him from office before the extradition. Guess we better get started tomorrow.

IIRC, an impeachment process would move from the House to the Senate, and then to the DOJ. He wouldn't likely end up jail, but it would certainly strongly damage his career and reputation. I'd love to see him getting tried in a Mexican courthouse for his literal War on Latinos.

"The nation's top law enforcement officer"...The irony and absurdity of using those words in relation to Eric Holder is only surpassed by using "Chief Executive" with Obama...

Holder is going to be Obama's "G.Gordon Liddy" yet.

I don't think this compares at all to Watergate.

Watergate was one step above a fraternity prank. The charges were at best misdemeanors or very low level felonies. It was simply a quest for some of the campaign plans of the Democratic party. No one was hurt. Certainly no one was killed. The press ran with it. Pressure mounted. A President was deposed.

Fast and Furious is a willful violation of US laws. At least one Federal Agent has been killed. Aside from Fox News, there's little media coverage. The Attorney General of the US is simply thumbing his nose at everyone. The only way Obama will be replaced is by being voted out of office later this year. If people aren't motivated enough to vote (many US voters seem to retain ideas only a few days); Obama will leave office in 2016; not 2012.

I really think comparing this to Watergate is like comparing manslaughter to a bloody nose. They should dig up Nixon's body and apologize for his treatment over Watergate.

+1 ^^^^

My lib inlaws continue to assert that Watergate was many times worse than Fast n Furious, since it was all over the news for months. They just refuse to see that accessories to murder is much worse than spying on the other party. In fact, my mother in law thought the appropriate punishment for watergate should be capital punishment!!! There are definitely some people who just should not be permitted to vote, with that type of false reasoning.

The reason Nixon got the shaft was he was a republican. The media ALWAYS goes after anyone that IS NOT a Demorat/socialist/Marxists and all Demorts/socialists/Marxists get a pass by the media. Republican commits a misdemeanor he/she is crucified in the media. Demorat commits a felony he/she gets a pass.

Congressman Jefferson of Louisiana was found guilty of Felonies over two years ago. He's still walking the streets. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/04/20/democratic-congressman-jefferson-reporting-to-prison-in-two-weeks/ Anyone hear about that on ABC, NBC, CNN? Bet he doesn't go. Representative Cleo Fields (DemoRAT) was caught on video taking bribes. Not only didn't he go to jail he got reelected.

On a side not, (sometimes memory fails me so I wanted to make SURE I was correct before posting the above), so I typed into Google, "was nixon a republican or democrat." Google linked me to Ask.com and this is what came up.

Was Nixon a republican or democrat?
