The elevated gun sales are due to the democrat anti gun party being in a position of power. The obama has no personal value and is not beneficial to anyone in any way he just happens to be the empty suit that slimed his way in to the office.

I bought my first two guns (USP40 and 9) because of the Brady Bill.

While Obama may have an impact, it is also important to see what else is happening at the time sales spike. In my state there was a spike in pistol permit applications and firearm sales right after the Cheshire Home Invasion (,_Connecticut,_home_invasion_murders) took place.

Any time the Democrats or their media machine in the MSM start making noise about grabbing guns there is always a run on that which they wish to ban from the peasants. People in my state ramped up their buying of magazines when the progressives here pushed for a "large capacity" magazine ban. And there was the run on 33rnd Glock magazines after the Tuscon shooting because people though there would be a ban on them.

Each time I feel that my right to bear arms is threatened by the Government, I try to buy another gun, or more.

It's a RIGHT.

People have been more scared of Janet Reno's protegé than Oblamo. Given the anti-gun propaganda leading up to F&F going sideways and Calderón's curious loss of outrage ever since, despite the subsequent deaths of hundreds more of his citizens, I'd say people were justified in being concerned.
