I love my CCO's and when I carry a 1911, it's usually a CCO.

Very nice

Are the two Wilson's the same as CCO's slide and frame-wise?

They are both 4" slides on officer frames. 1/4" off from being a "true" CCO, by definition, but close enough in my book to be called a CCO.

Depends on how you spec them out. But here are the base prices. They aren't cheap, but you do get what you pay for.

Nighthawk's options are very limited when it comes to the Commander and CCO size guns. And IMPO, I'd take a new Wilson or Guncrafter over a new Nighthawk these days.

Given my choices, I'd rather carry my Commanders. The CCO is strictly a toy for me because I'm not keen on the shortened grip frame. I can put rounds much faster and repeatedly with the standard grip frame, and the shortened frame isn't that short to make a difference in concealment for me.

When I read the title of the thread, my first thought was Close Combat Optic. I was a little worried about you.

ETA: I love the grips on that CCO.

No, 185gr Critical Defense. In my chrono testing with this gun, that load gives me the most energy of the ammo I have. It handles 230gr just fine too and I'm sure either would do the job just fine

I guess I am still a bit confused. I used to have a Dan Wesson CBOB. So a CCO is sort of like putting the 4.25 slide on an EMP frame?

glock2740

A CCO is a Commander slide on an Officer frame.

I loves me some CCO.

I carry mine each and every day, and shoot steel and UPSPA matches with it. I'm closing in on 18k rounds through it and it just keeps running.
