Solar portable power

I am looking for a way to power some electronics on my epic bike ride that I will use occasionally before and after. It would also help if there is a SHTF.

Beware the idiot reviewers who think that "fastest recharge is bestest recharge."

I'd be looking for a flexible model if it were for a bike ride.

I can only tell you that my Goal Zero Plus works very well and very quickly. It makes sense that all of these products work well at this point in the technological curve. I hope that someone owns one so that they can give you the skinny on it.

I am having a problem doing the battery conversion.
How does Battery Capacity:
10 Wh, NiMH compare to
Li-polymer : 3.7V / 5600mAh

BTW, I am open to suggestion. I am not stuck on the options i listed. My only key is it needs to be backpack capable. I will be on the move. I will have areas covered with trees so I need to pack power. I will probably stay someplace I can plug in to a jack once along the trip so that will probably happen.

Well then, put me down as a GoalZero owner also. Very pleased with it. I think it's one of the more efficient units for its size, and it has quite a lot of flexibility, given that you can charge other devices from the power pack. I noticed one of the reviews I listed ranked all the GZ units highly.

However for biking? A flexi panel might be a little more convenient, although less efficient.

I'm not genius with electrical calculations but I think:
3.7 x 5.6 = 20.7 watt hours.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong please; I need to learn how to do this.

Helios has bigger battery but eensy weensy solar panel, only .8 watt? How long would you be willing to wait around, to fill that big battery? That would take something like 9x longer than the GZ?

The GZ is a 7 watt panel. It'll fill 4 empty Eneloops in what, 3-4 hours direct sun? If you want more Wh, then fill up another set of Eneloops. On a good day you could fill two sets, giving you 20 watt hours.
