Yeah -- this is making the email rounds now, by leftists trying to deflect from Obama/Holder's fiasco.

One need read no further than the following quotes to get the political tenor and agenda of this "investigative" hack-job article:

The National Rifle Association has so successfully opposed a comprehensive electronic database of gun sales that the ATF's congressional appropriation explicitly prohibits establishing one.

...

Voth's mandate was to stop gun traffickers in Arizona, the state ranked by the gun-control advocacy group Legal Community Against Violence as having the nation's "weakest gun violence prevention laws." Even if one were to take an "investigative" report by Fortune magazine at face value (and I can't imagine why anyone would), what's got the Obama administration stymied now is that somebody "up there" seems to have lied to Congress about something.

Who was it that keeps telling us this wasn't about gun control...? :headscratch:

Ann Coulter, in her column today, had the best explanation of this whole fiasco. Read here: http://www.humanevents.com/2012/06/27/ann-coulter-the-biggest-scandal-in-u-s-history/

Not to thread drift but has anyone heard about the Holder contempt ruling that was supposed to go down today?

Maybe we can salvage the day if Holder gets the boot.

Why would they? People here don't care about the facts of the case. They don't care that hundreds of thousands of weapons are smuggled to Mexico very year. They don't care about detecting and ending the smuggling networks that lead to the drug cartels. They don't care about the hypocrisy of defending the right of an administration to keep internal deliberations private during the Bush years, as they did many times. They don't care that every germane fact relevant to Agent Terry's murder has been released. All they want to do is damage the Obama administration because they haven't released internal DOJ documents that occurred after Fast and Furious ended.

Except Fast and Furious was not about that. I take it that you do not care about the hundreds of Mexicans that have been killed by the American government guns or the ICE agent or border patrol agent that were also killed by these guns.

You and the other Truth Squadders just continue to operate here without a clue, don't you?

You're not preaching to a bunch of left wing DU idiots. Some people here actually know DOJ policy, and this case, a little better than you do.
