We've got Blackhawk CQCs for everything else, but they do not seem to have one for the 34.

What are some options?

Thanks!
Dave

glock 17? part of the slide would stick out the bottom of the holster, but should work just fine.

I use the Blackhawk Sport Serpa for my G21 and amazingly,
it fits my G35 perfectly as well. Even the length is correct. The barrel in the G35 is flush with the end of the holster.

Take care,
Dave

It doesn't fit flush but sticks out about 1/2" as is stated later in this thread.

That is great news, Dave. I am also looking for a Blackhawk serpa for my 35. You made my day. Thanks for the help, gentlemen!! Mike

Hopefully these are all recommendations for the Gen4 34, cause I have a Serpa for G21 on order.

Don't want to learn another holster, since this is not for deep carry.

thanks!
Dave

I just received my paddle holster (straight drop) after the Memorial Day sale Comp-Tac just had a few weeks ago.

Here's a link for you:

It fits perfectly, and has adjustable retention so that you can set it to your liking. I do have a G34 Gen4, and have not been able to find a holster I liked for it until this was announced.

Check out the Phantom by Raven concealment Systems, they can even construct them to accept mounted lights

They are very modular...can go between IWB, OWB.

I have two for both of my 35's.

Safariland ALS or the 5.11 Thumb Drive holster instead of a Serpa, both are safer and sturdier. All this is assuming your not looking for deep concealment.

there are no external differences between the Gen3 and Gen4 guns.... other than the backstraps I think. As far as the holster goes... the same.

Buddy uses same holster he bought for Gen3 17 for his Gen4 G34.

Here is a Safariland for the G34 Gen4, and I can verify it does fit:

Ron59, the G34 dustcover area is a bit larger on the Gen4 (as I read it). A couple of holster makers specified that they needed to "retool" to have something to fit the Gen4. Comp-tac has one for G34/35 Gen 4 and one for G34/35 (non Gen4).

Thanks, all, I am going to try the Serpa for the Glock 21 when it arrives. All my other holsters use that mechanism; not ready to cross-train.

The G4 34 sticks out a good half-inch on this holster. Retention is fine, tho.

You're right and I was incorrect. I put an edit in my post.
Yeah, mine sticks out a 1/2" also but I must not have minded to the point that I thought it was flush....

I just went and checked and there it was. I will say, however, that my front sight is still partially covered by the holster so I'm not worried about it getting ripped off when presenting the gun. I've pulled front sights before from using a too short holster.

Take care,
Dave

I have a Serpa for my G19 that I use to use my G34 in also. Muzzle stuck out, of course. I didn't mind. Worked for me until I sold my G34.
