I have to send my P229 to Sig in the near future since the FPPP broke last year. I've been putting it off since Sig keeps trying to sell me the Sig Service Plan. Ive thought about just doing the full service plan since I don't want night sights. Has anyone ever used this plan?
I've also thought about having a short trigger and SRT installed. Is it all worth it, or should I just have the pin replaced?

I sent one of my Sigs up to Exeter for that process before I learned how to detail strip Sigs. Now I replace all the springs and pins myself.

I've figured out how to do most of the springs, but I can't get the FPPP out of the slide. Any help?

I went down that road when one snapped on my P220ST.

If you want to embark on the removal of that you need the right punches...
Cup Tip Punch - 3mm (2 punch set) (http://www.topgunsupply.com/cup-tip_punch-3mm-2_punch-set.html)
... and a heavy hammer or a 1 ton arbor press.

Yea, think I'll need to let Sig handle that one. Thanks for the information though.

Do you use the same 3mm cuped punch set to remove and replace the spiral pins also?
