I need a recommendation for a Limbsaver (any really) recoil pad for a New England Arms Pardner 12 Gauge Single Shot. I've read that these are the same guns as the H&R Pardner. Does anyone have one of these and use a good recoil pad? Shot mine for the first time this weekend, and it bruised up my shoulder something fierce. Anyone have any suggestions on what good brand to get and what size I would need? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

If you don't mind a slip-on recoil pad, I've got a couple of Limbsavers on a Remington model 7 in 308, and a Marlin guide gun in 45-70. They do work very well. I believe they are made in small, medium, and large. A slip-on will increase your LOP by less than an inch, but it works ok by me. If you simply remove the old recoil pad (if it has one) the increase in LOP is very minimal........

Thank you. I don't mind slip ons at all. Just wanted opinions on good ones. I'll have to check them out.
