Ordered New Howa 1500!

Thanks for everyone for the help in making my decision! The Howa I've ordered was for $403 after shipping. I haven't received the rifle yet, or even set up an FFL, but I think this was a pretty good deal. But I do still have some questions about it.

It's a desert brown stock, does anyone know when these were produced? I know legacy sports website shows green and black as the current colors, but not brown.

What bases and rings should i get? Not sure, but I've heard that Howa's can take Remington bases.

Brown (Sand) Hogue stocks are still listed on-line and in their catalog for several models. They may have dropped the sand stock in some models, like the scope package, because of low demand. My wholesale gun catalogs still list the sand stock for most models. They're still in the system.

The HOWA takes Remington 700 bases. I have one piece Leupold bases on all of my HOWA rifles.
