Long shot but great gun for the task.

I'm a little rusty... What pistol is that?

My original thinking was a Beretta, but then I thought there was a High Standard that looked like that...

You've got the right pistol for the job!

I like shooting .22s at long range stuff. Try shooting clay pigeons at 100yds. I've got a couple of swingers and one is a 4" at 175yds. That one is tough to hit with a .22 pistol!

With practice an 8" swinger isn't too hard at 100yds.

Some of my favorite shooting is shooting small handguns at 52 yards, standing.
It's surprising how accurate 2 inch revolvers and pocket pistols are at that distance.

It's real fun to stretch the legs of your handguns a bit.

That's nothing. I hit Necco wafers at 300 yards all day long with my Red Ryder.

The 41 should be up to the challenge if you do your part.

Off hand, standing, I'm basically a 4" shooter at 25 yards. 8" at 50. 16" at 100.

I'd guess that I'd hit your 100 yard target no more than half the time, and maybe worse than that :)

8" is pretty small at 100 yards with a handgun.

I shoot beer/coke cans at 50 yards all the time. Great fun and good practice too. Sometimes stretch them out to 100 yards, but depends on what pistols I brought to the range.

Definitely is!

And it's a real confidence builder.

That looks like so much fun. I just picked up a new Ruger MKIII and I can't wait to go stretch it out like that. Very nice Smith also.

Congrats:wavey:
That MKIII will ping'em at 50 with no problems!

I am betting most of you (M2 Carbine excepted) are still pretty young. My eyes cannot see with enough clarity to hit stuff that small with a handgun at that range. I miss those days....

Red dot. I don't need one yet, but I know I will.

After trying a 2X Leupold, then a red dot, I went with the factory irons which seem to work just fine.

I probably couldn't even see that crap at 50 yards.
