:tongueout:

No wonder 10mm took so long to catch traction; when none of the larger commercial manufacturers are making ammo that is worth a damn. Thank god for DT, Underwood, and others

30 fps faster than 40SW version....WOW! :wow:

Must have been a little earthquake when compared these 2 fartloads

In a moment of ignorance I bought box of hydrashoks. Just finished them off today by blasting an empty mountain dew can.

First and last box, unless it's the only thing available...

I happen to have a couple boxes of 10mm Black Talons; pretty much the same story.

I plan to pull the bullets and reload them at real 10mm velocity for hog hunting :)

The 10mm black talons are pretty weak. BUT, keep in mind those bullets are intended to perform at that velocity, same as the Hydrashocks. Either of these will open up more than you want when loaded to full 10mm potential, and might even fragment and/or lose the jacket. Really not a great choice for hog hunting, unless maybe you're just shooting the little ones.

If you are buying factory ammo, you won't see much of an improvement over 40SW.

What's the cost difference between the 10mm and .40 hydrashoks?

Yet, it doesn't appear that the folks at Federal (and the other major makers) don't even have the decency to be ashamed of themselves:faint:

Ahhhh. Pretty much the FBI load.

That velocity is probably right in the sweet spot for that particular bullet. I have no use for Hydrashoks.

20 rnds for $15 is still a rip off

You can get 50rnds of real 10mm from Underwood for $30

Easy there, friend. I shoot/carry Underwood ammo myself. But someone might want light loads for some reason, like having their wife / daughter shoot their gun, or an arthritic condition.

Hydrashok is an obsolete, poorly performing bullet anyway. That they would push it with weak sauce is unsurprising.
