Security Cam Question For Mas & Other LEOs

I want cameras at my house, but I've heard that this is a red flag for cops to suspect you of dealing drugs. And although I am not doing anything illegal, a no-knock warrant complete with flash bangs doesn't appeal to me even if they find nothing illegal.

For years I was in the car wash business, my last one had 15 security cams including 2 tag cams, and I can say without hesitation that they can be worth their weight in gold, and give peace of mind.

Question is, do I tell the local chief what I am doing and why? Do cameras at a house (exterior) create suspicions of PD?

Can't speak for everyone with a badge, but I for one sure don't see it that way.
