Maybe it's just me but were to have an incident which required me to pull my gun and point it at someone pnce the threat was resolved I probably would go ahead and contact the police. Or maybe beat a hasty retreat and then contact the police. But maybe that's just me.

Of course I would also guess that attempting to enforce traffic laws would be appreciably more difficult without a citation book, too. But again, maybe that's just me.

The problem is Florida's application for a concealed weapons permit. It doesn't ask "Are you an idiot?" I'm sure that guy would have answered "yes" and then he wouldn't have a permit.

In Memphis, there's probably a good chance that his "self defense" actions of pulling a gun on someone would have gotten misinterpreted and he'd be looking good in a box instead of looking like a ******nozzle on the news...
