For the first time in my life, I donated to a political camgaign. I gave $100 to the RNC and $100 directly to the Romney campaign. The response: I get a mailing and appeal for more money every day!. Sometimes two a day! WTF!
I gave money this year because I am more afraid than ever that our nation will be gone in a few more years if Obama is re-elected. But, I'm really concerned that the Republicans are going to screw up this election again. The campaign is being mis-managed and Romney's message is muddled.
Let me be clear: I don't really like Romney or the Republican party. I'm supporting him because he must defeat this despicable president. But with the way I see things going so far, I have serious doubts these clowns can pull it off.
Writer seems to be unaware of his own contribution to this country's predicament:
The other day a fund-raiser for the Romney campaign called my house. The guy wanted a contribution of 200 dollars. I told the fund-raiser that I'd vote for Romney over Obama, but I didn't have much confidence in Romney.

How do we get stuck with these candidates? Why have we allowed this to go on for so long?
You get stuck with them because you vote for them, Einstein.
I made a small contribution to the RNC a number of years ago and only got a handful of follow-up mail. A year later, and I wasn't getting anything.
