View Full Version : Nosler 200 Grain HP
Nosler finally produced some more 200gr HPs, and Midway got them in stock last week! Mine arrived today, and I loaded up 3 batched with some Blue Dot powder. Hope to use them for hunting this year out of a 6.5" barrel. Should do great on white tail and be plenty big enough for hogs too
Range results with Blue dot powder from 6.5" Lone Wolf Barrel

Yes, Blue Dot dose like to be run on the full load as it adds to the complete burning and cleaner as well, I have run up to 10.5 grains under the Hornady 200 XTP's seated to 1.255" with a CCI 300 @ 1180 - 1200 from my S&W1006 5". Very accurate like what you are seeing with your upper loads. BTW, can smack clay piegon/skeet laying on the berm out to 130 yards!
If your going to hunt with yours you need to stretch it out to some real world hunting distances and test them puppies! That thing may supprise you!

I doubt it; at the ranch we have an empty propane tank setup at 200yds that I can hit 4/5 times. And I drilled a cottontail at 100yds the last time we were out there. Can't wait to give these loads a try; tailored to my gun/ barrel
