I'm going to Alaska in the fall, what should I take to make sure the water doesn't bite back?

Not sure of the specifics of your adventure, but your best bets for purifying water are to:

1. Boil your water

2. Use water purification tabs such as MicroPur tabs or Potable-Aqua

3. Utilize a good portable water filter such a Katadyn or Berkey drip filter or a Katadyn Pocket.
