I found a SP2022 9mm at Cabela's for $419. I compared it to the P250 compact, but I decided to go with the Sig Pro. I've shot a .40 P2340, and it shot very well. This one only came with one mag and three dot contrast sights. Normally, I'm not a big fan of three dot sights, but these are growing on me. The new SP2022's come with a small grip and short trigger on the pistols. A medium grip is also included. The pistol fits my hand very well indeed. I hope to shoot it next week and I'll post a range report.

Here's a few quick pics from my iPhone:

Hopefully, you'll like it as much as I do mine. Bought one a couple months ago from a new LGS.

Congrats.

The closest you can get is the 2340, an earlier version that has a Sig proprietory ral that is fairly unnoticable.

Easily a front-runner in the $400 gun category. Great pistol.

Yep, the P2009 is the 9mm version with the tiny propitiatory rail.

Here's the awesome Sig Pro FAQ by Dr. Ken Lunde a ton of info.

Sweet pistol. I have always loved Sigs, but dont have the bones to drop a grand on one personally at this point in my life. Maybe I will have to pick one of these up sometime.

Any holster suggestions?

I've read that they will fit in some XD holsters.

I made my own leather CCW, but Uncle mikes makes a Kydex "star Wars" type and there is a Bianchi "Accumold" nylon that fits great. If you can't find it in the catalog, give me some time and I'll get the number off mine.

(It's in the bedroom and the wife works graveyard, i will wake her for nothing short of nuclear war, and then only if it's going to come close to our yard.)

OK, got it.

It is the Bianchi "Accumold" Size 11.

Range Report:

Well, I fired about 200+ rounds of 9mm through my SP2022. Mostly UMC and Rem target ammo and about 20 rounds of Win 127 +P+. No problems what so ever. The recoil was minimal even with the hot ammo. In fact, the hot ammo felt normal, and the target ammo seemed very weak. I think a lot of the current pistol ejection woes are a result of weak target ammo. I'd love to see our reloading member check the charges of these commercial target loads.

Accuracy was great. I kept everything in the black at 21 feet and 30 feet. My blended bi-focals are not up to the job of real accuracy testing, but that's not the pistol's fault. I also shot my G-26 with Big Dots. The G-26 grouped very well, but a little high.

All in all, I am very happy with my purchase.
