Scenario question:

Say you were at a grocery store and a guy held a knife to a cashier's throat demanding all the money in the store, or he'll cut her throat. What would some of the possible legal repercussions be if you walked up to him and shot him in the head?

Or do you just let her get her possibly get her throat cut?

Assuming you can bring it off without the clerk being harmed, X number of people in this society will say that if he was just given the money no one would have been hurt.
