View Full Version : OWB for my S&W 642
I often pocket carry my 442 but have been thinking of a OWB holster.
It does not need to be sexy/pretty. Just good concealment that will be more comfortable then the IWB options I currently also use.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Blackhawk has a nice OWB I use for my Charter Bulldog. I've been using it for about 16 months now.
Of course you can't go wrong with a Don Hume as someone mentioned.
Check out Lobo Gun Leather. Ray makes high quality holsters that are reasonably priced. I have several of his holsters and highly recommend him.

Thanks for the referral to Lobo. There have been a number of satisfied Lobo customers from the S&W forum as well.

I usually order straight from Don Hume.
Longest I waited was a month for a left-handed H710 for my 1911.
Besides that month wait, everything else was in stock.

+1 on the Silver Dollar Pancake...
It works well with both of my J-frames, a 642 and a older model 60.

I carry my 442 in a Don Hume H717 when the P239 gets to heavy. It works well, and the jframe is small enough that it conceals well even OWB.
The enhanced pancake from Lobo is everything it was billed as. Rides tight, conceals well and is comfortable.
The customer service from Ray was great - available for questions, good communication regarding when holster would ship, etc
If anyone is thinking of a Lobo enhanced pancake I can recommend it and the customer service at Lobo without reservation.

Would the Don Hume work well with the LCR and Hogue grips?
