Looking into another nice pocket pistol. The 238 is a good one. How about the 938? I haven't seen one yet, but for those of you that have. Is the 938 a real pocket pistol? Also, what's your general thoughts and impressions?

Front pocket, not my rear pocket. It's supposed to be the same size as a 238 but it's thicker and a little longer.

I love mine. It took a while to get used to the trigger or it took a while for it to break in. Trigger and springs were very stiff. The trigger was gritty. I cleaned and oiled it lightly then fired 200 rounds. 3 FTE in the first 3 boxes. No issues since, and I'm around 625 or so, now.

It's very accurate, now. I carry this and my P238 in this weather.

I'd buy another when newer models/styles are released. Mine was the Nightmare.

What kind of ammo did you have the FTE's?

They were Remmington FMJ 124 grain. I have tried about 150 rounds of JHPs without an issue. No problems with Federal or American Eagle FMJ.

It appears that you either get a good one or a not good one. I know CDR Glock from another forum where he got a bad one and I got a good one. The situation with the P938 is reversed. I shot this video yesterday after it came back from Sig Service. It's worse than before it went in.

I've been wanting a Kahr MK9 and still do; however, this 938 has my interest.

The Sig P938 isn't my style, but the one I handled seemed solid enough.

Same here.

I'm not really big on anything Sig builds in the States.

Still haven't seen one locally. Will likely get one to replace my 238 at some point once all the bugs are ironed out. The 238 has been 100%.

I just picked up my brand new sig 938 on saturday. Shot it sunday morning with no failures or anything odd at all. Put about 150 rounds of fmj thru.. blazer and lawman. Then put a box each of gold dot, hydrashok and hornady tap through it and it ran just fine. It shot about an inch high on a center hold so might just need more rounds thru or it might just be where this one shoots. My model is called a 938 extreme and has an extended mag that holds 7 and finger rest and then the standard 6 round mag. Ambi safety and night sights and the serations on the front strap and the backstrap hold your hand well. So far so good.

I got to fondle one and liked it, just not on my list right now.
