View Full Version : Virginian Dragoon 44 Magnum
First off, I have been following this site for a while but only recently registered. Thanks to everyone for the great tips and advice. Anyways, a few days ago I purchased an Interarms Virginian Dragoon .44 mag, SS, 7 1/2 in barrel. I know very little about revolvers but after looking at this one I couldn't talk myself out of it. It is in good condition but I didn't know the value of the gun. I searched online and found little information on what these are going for. I paid 400 and was wondering if I may have paid a little much? Thanks.
Looks like that is what they are asking for on Gunbroker. I'd say you did fine.
By the way, welcome to GT!
I don't know what they're worth now. A Virginian Dragoon was my first handgun that I bought back in the mid 80's. I pounded a lot of 240 grain bullets over heavy charges of H110 out of that gun. It never gave me any problems. Cool gun, I wish I still had it. Anyways, congrats and enjoy!
While looking at what sort of lock mechanism they used, I ran across this interesting read on them:
Thanks everyone for the input and thank you highspeed for the link. Now if the county will just lift this burn ban so I can get outside and shoot it!
I had one, shot long range metallic silhouette with it back in the day. Very nice pistol, can't remember now why I sold it.
Sorry for the delay. I meant to put some pictures up the other day and forgot. Here are a couple.
I had one too & sold it back in the early 80's. Yes, I should of kept it.
