Bushmaster patrol carbine, Sig variant with all the custom furniture, and a bare bones piccatinny rail flatop DPMS (only lacking sights really) for about $590-ish (I think). Not bad. Maybe they'll some day go back to selling hand guns.

Yep, WM has been back in the Black Rifle game for a while. While I applaud them for carrying Colts at a reasonable price, I wish they'd find a better low-cost product than the DPMS Sportical. :puking:

What does Wal Mart know that we should know?

I already got rid of my Wal-um-World card. It was for "emergency use" which was great for the three months no pay last year, but the temptation to use it for other things was too great. So I axed it. :crying:

That support for gun control is at an all time low, more people are buying guns, and that they had written themselves out of a major American market when they stopped selling guns.

Where is this? I should check to see if my local Wal-Mart is carrying here in Utah. Being originally from Bentonville, I wonder if I could find a way to make use of the family discount card - 10% off. :D

I have seen the Sig variety at my local Wal-Mart (Greenfield, IN) in the past. Right around $900 I believe. Had noticed other/lesser variants. I would be interested in buying an AR from them, provided that their Sig variant did not differ from a Sig variant from the LGS.

And lets not forget Windham. that makes four at mine. I't may be like a Bushmaster, but it's not. Yes, i know the history of it. Just read April 30, 2012 Shotgun News.

They're building a SWM in Davie, FL, right near my work! I am hoping that it will carry guns and not just ammo so I will have something to do on my lunch break. Right now the only WM that I know of that sells guns is at Griffin and Flamingo. They all sell ammo, of course.

I believe the local gun shop in Sierra Vista has AR's in the $700 range. Have no idea what kind. I'll pay them a visit, take notes, and report back.

The local one here carries M&Ps. I think that what happened was that all the manufacturers cranked production into high gear after Obama got elected and the gun grab fears flared up, and now there are a ton of ARs sitting around that they are trying to get out of their warehouses. So, Wal Mart swoops in and buys big lots for lower prices, and sells them. Everyone wins.

I want an M&P AR.

I bought my son a Cricket .22 at a Walmart several years ago. I'll never buy a gun from them again. It took forever for the guy behind the counter to get the forms.

Then it took another forever to get a manager to check the forms and call in for the NICs approval.

Then the manager says they have to "escort" me to the door with my gun and I'm not allowed to take possession of it till we get to the parking lot. I felt like some sort of outcast criminal.

So you're saying that WM is selling 2-3 year old "new" ARs.

Painless buying at my WM. Filled out the FFL form on a computer they have. Quick check. Then out the door. Knew the manager kinda and he did escort me to the door, only problem was he got some drool on the box my new rifle was in!

Bought a Colt LE6920 for a good price. Their special order book saved me big on my Remington 700 a few years ago, could not even find the model I wanted on GB at the time.

Somebody mentioned a Sig in .308 at their? Not seen that around here but have seen the DPMS in .308 at mine. They sell Bushmaster, Colt, DPMS, and only saw one Sig in 5.56 and it did not last long.

In PA they sell none.
