I've been wanting a G20SF for a while and was getting ready to order one sometime soon. Luckily, I found a guy not far from me selling a used G20 that looks brand new. I think it's only had a few mags down the tube.

Picked it up for $520 with a box of 175gr Win Silvertips. A new G20SF from Buds would have been $547+$30 transfer fee. I guess I saved about $50.

This specific gun has the older shiny finish and I believe was manufactured in late 2010.

Here it is alone and beside my G29SF that I've had for a little over a year now:

Congrats brother, I just did the trigger and sights on my G20SF and got the KKM barrel for it today. A G29SF is on my short list as well.

You're gonna love the G20 if you like the G29! :wavey:

Nice score! The shiny slide is going on all the new Glocks, again ... they only did the Matte finish for a short while, it seems.

Welcome!

Cool, I didn't care for the looks of the matte finish.

My G19 and G29SF are the matte finish. I too prefer the shiny finish. The matte finish looks too much like parkerization to me. It also shows smudge marks easier from sweating or oiling. However, it appears as if the shiny finish might show wearing easier.

I'm getting ready to pick up a g4 G17 and I hope it has the shiny finish.

Congrats. I've never shot the 20SF but I love the way my Gen3 20 shoots. Enjoy it.

I took the new toy out to the range today and did pretty well. I put about 80 warm loads and 20 hot loads down the tube. I honestly think I was shooting my 29 a little better, only because I have a lot more practice with it.

I think I might start wearing gloves when shooting my 10mms. The hump in the grip always seems to leave my palm aching.
