New unfired for 900+? Better have original box & accessories and all that stuff.
A used but in excellent condition M29-2 is about $600-ish.

fnfalman, pretty much nailed it. I got a very nice used 6" -3 about 5 months ago for less that $600 but it was a "deal" and I was in the right place/ right time. A -2 is generally right a $600 in my area.

Yes, I would target $650 for a gun like that. The shorter barrel guns go for more.
What are your plans for the gun? Is it going to be a shooter or a collector?
If you want it just to shoot it don't buy something unfired in box...
BTW: the one for $645 hasn't met the reserve yet...
I recently bought this one for $675 and it is likely unfired with box, manual and tools.

Yea I am going to shoot it (unless I got the "unfired one" but wasn't going to pay over 900 for it I emailed the guy and he said he would take 900 if it didn't sell but now there is a bid) . I want a Dirty Harry so I am looking for a 6'5 or 8 3/8. Looks like you got a nice deal. I am gonna have to check out local shops I guess since the GB.com ones are all more than what you guys said 600-650.

Watch the classified here on GT. I have seen these go for around $550-$650 several times.

He's got all the accoutrements that collectors value, but the scratch is a killer. $900 is too high.

No, it's not going for $645. It's up to $645, but the reserve hasn't been met yet. It could also be a $900 gun.
Keep looking. They're out there.
For $900 it would have to be unfired with the box and papers.

It is but there are 2 small scratches on it also.
Thanks for the replies guys!
Looks like somebody bid the $900, so it will sell for at least that!
I paid $600 for my 629-2 a couple years ago. I thought it was about average price at the time. It had been shot, but very little......about 95% condition, I'd say........

As nice as that is, and even though it's a prelock, it's a long way from a mint/unfired 29-2.
I like your gun, BTW.

Yes. Yea nickle looks like a pimp gun IMHO.
For those who said they find them for 600-650, I'd be cool if you could get the shops number for me where ya find it and I'd give ya a finders fee.

Post a WTB (Wanting to Buy) ad in the GT classifieds. Also check it daily. They pop up fairly often. I just missed one a few months ago for $650.
If you can't wait then you likely have to pay the GB premium.

That nickled one was $750
This -3 was $429 6 months ago
http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee518/CountryG/100_0404.jpg
which was the same price I just paid the same dealer for my new S&W 3913 LS. He likes that number:supergrin:
I've got a nickel 29-10, but I don't care much for it due to the stupid ass lock.

I traded a Glock 19, and $250.00 cash for this one (29-2). I figure trade in value on a Glock is about $350.00...plus $250.00...about $600.00. Just a couple of months ago.
