Perfect timing too, as my Wilderness belt landed as well. This thing is WAY nicer than I thought it would be! It really can't be fully appreciated until you see in person and put your hands on it. Everything about screams quality. Feels alot better than I was thinking it might in my hand too. I can't wait to get this to the range and on my new belt for some CC time. Here's some cell phone pics from I picked it up a little while ago.

very nice!...just wondering, can you get work done by them without them engraving their name on it? It looks fine and all, I'm just funny about that. don't like dealer names on new car's either...lol

Not sure about that.

If I'm going to spend all that money on a custom gun, I want the name on there.

Kind of thinking about sending my 4" stainless GP100 to Gemini...:whistling: I passed on a Talo 3" SS GP100 awhile back, that I should've grabbed. :crying: I like my GP100 just like it is, but Marc could make it soooo much nicer.

I'm sure. That guy is a master craftsman.

I still may get a 1911 from him at some point. It would certainly be one of the best in my collection.

What does he charge for revolver work?

His prices are on his site. Marc is sending me the Gemini paperwork. Here's one of his 1911's from his site. This thing with a fluted, flush crowned bull barrel with a fluted FLGR would be the bomb! LOVE everything about it.

That is really nice, Joe.

However, if I got something from Marc, it wouldn't be traditional like that. The guy does amazing metalwork and I'd probably get one of his Diamondback models.

They go about $6K though. In fact, that was a couple years back, so I'm sure they're more now.

I'd keep the grips more traditional and would certainly go full size.

Congrats,
That's probably the nicest SP101s I've ever seen.
Love the grips.
I personally would have opted for a 3" barrel.
Full house 357s run ~1,450 fps from a 4".
But only ~1,200 from a 2" (-250).
And ~1,300 from a 3" (-150).
Where Remington Golden Sabers run 1,220 fps from a 4".
And still pull ~1,100 (-120) from a 2".
The sweet spot is from a 3" where you still get ~1,190 (-30).
That's what I run in my 2" S&W 640-1 and 3" 65-3.

Manageable recoil and fast followup shots from the snubbies.

Those are beautiful SP101's. And a very nice holster you have also. I have a 2" and 3" SP101's. On occasion they are used for CCW. (But for the most part my "EDC" is my G27)

I always admired the wood grips on an SP101. What does your hand feel like after shooting 357s. I like 357 Snubs and that's about all I shoot but, I need Rubber Grips. I guess I'm a woos.

 Very nice!

I have an SP-101, too; or should I say my wife has one. Her's is a great, very tough, little 357! If I'm not being too gauche, would you please tell me: what it is, who made it, and (about) how much I'm going to have to spend? (The little woman really needs a better holster than the one she's presently using.)

What the hell is "gauche"? :dunno::rofl: I didn't quite fully understand your question, so I'll try to answer the best I can. Are you asking about the holster? If so, it's an Occidental. Carries GREAT! If the question was about the gun, Gemini Custom did the work. He has several "packages" that he does. He has grips available too. Here's a link. Hope that helped. :)

Thanks! I'm going to be in touch with Occidental.

'Gauche', according to Google, means: Lacking ease or grace; unsophisticated, or socially awkward. It can, also, mean vulgar or rude as when asking someone how much he paid for something in the same way I did with you.

Damn, that is a fine looking wheelgun. I have admired Marc's work for years. Makes me want to pull out my 6" 686 S&W and send it out to have it cut down to 3" and complete action work done on it. I'd love to have a smaller, all stainless steel .357 mag to carry. Congrats on your heirloom quality piece. If you don't mind can you share your ideas on porting and why you choose to or not. Thanks, Rob

I'm not a ported barrel on anything. My S&W .460 has ports, but I couldn't do anything about that. Plus, that gun might need them.

Ran some loads through my 3" SP101 this afternoon. 125gr Golden Sabres averaged 1,240 fps which kind of surprised me since it's not a full house load.

135gr short barrel Gold Dots averaged 1,100 fps and the 38 +P version at 1,000 fps.

110gr Gold Dot loaded by CorBon ran 1,380 fps average and Buffalo Bore 158gr 38 +P averaged 1,100 fps...HOT for a .38 and extreme spread was only 2 fps!

Your SP101 looks great, wouldn't mind having my 3" done too, and the guy only lives about 45 min from me so it would work out nicely. The thing shoots great, I just wish the trigger was a little nicer.

I wonder if this guy can put dovetailed front sights on the SP101? I've got one and I would like a little adjustment if needed.

Super nice!

Used to carry an SP101, and while a tad bit heavy, it disappears due to the shape of the revolver and angle of grips.

Gemini Customs has long been one of my dream guns, and it is only a matter of time!
Thanks for sharing! More pics please!!

Congrats, that's a beautiful gun. The only "improvement" I could see is removing the billboard from the barrel, I'm surprised he didn't do that.
