I shot mostly at 7-10 yards. It feels very good in my hand. Probably better then any semiauto I've tried. Also, I was very pleased with its accuracy. I did experience some issues though. Out of approximately 210 rounds I had 4 double feeds and, 1 stovepipe. These malfunctions occurred with WWB 115 grain ammunition.

The other ammo I had was 124 grain Aguilla fmj. That worked flawlessly, along with some HST's. Aside from the malfunctions, I love this pistol. Thoughts?

It's a new pistol, I wouldn't sweat a few chokes early on with range ammo like WWB- which could be a little light for function in a stiff new firearm.
Congrats on the new pistol.

Yep, I love my SR9c and most pistols have a few problems, FTE's out of the box. It is just breaking in. Try some good quality ammo or self defense loads and see how it does. They are very well made guns and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Going to the range again Friday. Asked Ruger about my problems with WWB. They said If everything else worked it was the ammo, not the gun. IMO, a defense gun should work with all brands of ammo. I hope Friday goes well.

I had problems with my SR9c early on with WWB also..solution....I quit suing WWB and 1600 rounds later without a single malfunction shows IMO it wasnt the gun. and in that time ive shot Federal 124 and 147 grain, that orange box R&W or some such Wally World had,Remington UMC in the 100 packs,Federal 115 grain, both Blazer brass and aluminum, and my carry ammo of Gold Dot 124 grains...1600 was it the gun or WWB lol...

now to be honest that was when the gun was brand new out of the box..and someday im gonna grab 2 boxes or a 100 box of WWB just to test it out again and see how it shoots..

Did you clean it before you shot it? They come with a bunch of grease and junk in the striker channel and the rest of the internals. Mine even had brass shavings in the striker channel. Having said that, I did not clean mine when I bought. Took it straight out and shot about 300 rounds (reloads) without a problem. Accuracy was superb. Took it home, cleaned it thoroughly, that's when I found the grease and shavings. After that was all cleaned out, I noticed the trigger pull was significantly smoother.

I'll do that, thanks Bo. :)
