Hi .357 members. After shooting alot of 9mm and 10mm for years i picked up a Gen 4 32 yesterday to get back into .357 Sig. The last .357 Sig i owned was in 1998 0r 1999.
I put 300 rounds thru it yesterday (Speer 125 TMJ and S&B 140 FMJ) and it was flawless and wicked accurate. Hitting the plates at 100 yards was easy.
I ordered some extra mags and the 4.49" Lone Wolf Barrel for it so i could really crank the velocity up for long range hits.
What a great cartridge.

Love my Glock 33 for off duty carry. Saving up right now for a 32. I really enjoy the .357 sig round. Congrats on your new pistol!

Thanks. I noticed that Lone Wolf also has a 5.2" barrel for the G32. I went with the 4.5" which is really like a G31. Does anybody think i would get any more velocity by going to the 5" ??
I guess the question is, does the .357 SIG velocity MAX out at some point ??

An interesting question.

No answer on my end but I'd like to see Beretta, bring back the COUGAR in .357 SIG,
along with offering it in others like the 96s and PX4s.

See Ballistis by the inch (http://www.ballisticsbytheinch.com/357sig.html) - it looks like at about 14 inches, it starts getting erratic/stalling out.....

Stoeger now makes the Cougar - I'd like to see them offer it. I actually sent an e-mail to Beretta many moons ago to ask about the PX4 in 357 sig....apparently, mine was the only e-mail that flooded in:treadmill:

SEAR, how does the 33 shoot?? I remember shooting a friend of mine's 33 at the range many years ago, and I am a pretty decent shooter but i recall it being a little erratic. I know its not usually the gun, but when relaying this experience to a pro later on, he had the opinion that the round was so fast that the really short G33 barrel didn't have time to stabilize it.
This could all be BS, but how has your experience been with it??

My G33 shot as well as the G32 and M&P Compact 357s.

You could get more muzzle blast with some loads than the longer guns, but
nothing to worry about.

The ONLY reason I don't have it now is because I think the Gen 4 G33
will fit me better.

No chance to handle a gen 4 Baby Glock so far.

I do like the feel of the Gen 4 G32 though.

i have a g31c and a g33, both gen3. while the g33 is more concealable, it is really too small for me and i am far from having large hands. getting a good grip on it is hard, even with the pearce mag extensions, and doing mag reloads is cumbersome also.

i actually used both guns above in a small indoor idpa match today, both were very accurate. i took my time but didn't miss any head shots with either. almost seemed like the 33 had tighter groups but i was probably taking more time with my shots.

pretty sure i am getting a g32 gen 4 in very short order. i have a g23 gen 3 but really like the 357sig round. their medium size guns seem to have the best of both worlds, relatively concealable but can get two full hands on them so very controllable.
