Are any of you guys in round restricted states using the G32 successfully with a 10-round magazine?

I dropped an OEM G32 barrel into my G23RTF2, and I can't get anything to feed, nose diving, with either a compact-sized 357 SIG or .40 10-round magazine. Yet, it feeds fine with a G22 10-round magazine. I've tried the G22 follower and spring in the compact sized mags to no avail. It seems to be a problem with the compact magazine shell construction. I can't see anything else it could be.

I don't mind using a G22 for reloads, but I want to get a compact sized mag working for the holster.

Has anybody gotten one to work?

if you can find any of the newest 357 SiG followers, that may be the issue...I find they work better than the older style .40 S&W followers in my G23 wanna be G32...

...I've only used the newest G23 and two older LE marked magazines (the older seemed to make the slide slower but I had no misfeeds but it definitely felt different) and two brand new G31, 15 round magazines with the newest 357 SiG followers were perfect (but for being a bit long ;) )

...hopefully more will chime in here...

I'm not in a limited state, but when I bought my G32 (used), it came with a couple of 10-rounders that have never given me any problems. Seems like I read somewhere of others having issues using some of the older, preban full-capacity mags, but I can't find the source right now.

I ordered and received some new 357 SIG followers that had 1 stamped on them. Are those the newest?

I've got a +10% mag spring on the way to see if that will help. It's worth a try.

Good to know. Thanks.

Hmmm....

I've got a few things to try, but maybe this conversion just isn't going to be in the cards for me.

my new this year 357 SiG magazines have 3 on the follower and my older (LE marked) 40 S&W G23 mags are marked 5 on the follower...your 357 SiG mags should work regardless...

That's some new information for me to try. I'm on the hunt for some number 3 followers. Thanks.

I know they should work, but they don't. On the older 10-round G22 mags that do work, the rounds sit higher up the feed ramp with the slide open and the mag well inserted. They feed perfect.

With the compact mags that don't work, the rounds start pointed up but then flatten out and hang on the feed ramp, dive straight on with out climbing the ramp. A swift seating smack on the bottom of the mag chambers the round until the next ftf. When I get to the 4th or 5th last round, the rest feed fine.

Where did you buy the new mags? Or did they come in the box with a new gun.

According to this current Glock .pdf, the number 1 follower is the current one. Maybe you lucked into an older one.

I tried the +10% magazine spring from Wolff in the compact-sized 10-round mags, and no dice. The rounds are still driving straight into the feed ramp and failing to feed. The gun operated perfect with a friends standard 13-round mags, and my 10-round G22 mags.

This conversion attempt is over. Time to move on.

I have tried the ten round magazines in my Glock 23. Nothing but failure!!!!!!! I purchased the magazines and barrel from the Glock Store. My Sig229 runs flawlessly with the 357sig, great caliber, if i could only get the Glock to work.

Sorry to hear that for you. I'll be looking for a chance to try it in a G32 someday just to see if it would work in that model. It should work in the barrel conversions, but isn't. Now I'm curious if it'll work in a 32.
