View Full Version : G26 concealed carry methods
Looking to CCW a GLock 26 and I'm looking into different ways to carry.
I'm pretty sure that pocket carry is out as the G26 is really too big for pockets that I have.
I carry IWB in a Comp-Tac MTAC at about 4 o'clock or so. Very comfortable and conceals very well.
Cool Hand Hodge
RM Lowrider...only way to fly
Galco King Tuk!

IWB using a CrossBreed holster. Also have one for my M&P Shield.
G26 carry methods that I use:
Pocket carry: Galco Horsehide holster
IWB Carry: Blade-Tech Nano
OWB Carry: Blade-Tech paddle
Deep Concealment: Belly Band worn high under a golf shirt
Range use: Raven Ghost belt slide holster
Last resort: Galco Fanny Pak
When nothing else will do, a brown paper lunch bag. I'm serious about this. Learned it from an FBI agent.
I have a G27 and use a Alessi Talon or Sidearmor for IWB and recently got a Kangaroo Carry for other times.
The Kangaroocarry seems to work well so far
Since I'm not built like a 12yo I can pocket carry my 26 anytime i want, which is all the time. Too big my arse.
IWB Desanti Intruder
Don Hume IWB, or some version of a crossbreed.
+1 for the remora use it for my EDC.
DeSantis Nemesis for pocket carry
Milt Sparks VM-2 IWB
Galco UDC tuckable
Don Hume JIT slide OWB
Galco Jackass shoulder holster
Holster pocket in concealment coat.
It's pretty versatile.
OWB with the Glock holster. Also use the Remora at the house a lot. Works well with lounging around wear.
I carry my 27 IWB appendix in a cheap Unkle Mikes or High Noon holster, on the belt I use a Glock Sport Combat holster OWB and sometimes a Fobus or Serpa.
also on the ankle in a Galco Ankle Glove, in a Miami Classic shoulder holster, IWB in a M-tac, in the coat pocket in a pocket holster and on rare occasions in a small fanny pack. for car carry or laying around the house I keep it in a Remora holster.
thats what I like about a sub, it is so versatile you can carry it so many ways. it will also perform as well as many larger guns.
the GAP mag floor plate and other mag extensions help in all the different ways I carry.
I comfortably carry my G34 in a Sparks VM-2 IWB. It should work for a G26.
I usually stick to an IWB holster or ankle rig. I like the ankle carry because it is almost impossible to tell I have it on. It is a little harder to get to though. Whatever you chose to do, I suggest training on drawing from your gear. When it hits the fan, you want it to be simple muscle memory.
Crossbreed Supertuck!! I LOVE mine!!
For my IWB, I use a Versacarry for my 27 and absolutely love it. There's nothing to it, takes up no room and is extremely comfortable to me. I'm a big guy and get annoyed by many of the other IWB's I use.

Another vote for the CrossBreed SuperTuck. I've been carrying my G26 in one for a couple of years now. I never used to believe it when someone said that a CCW holster was so comfortable that they forgot they had it on; now I do and actually forget myself, it's that comfortable.
Concealability is tops, also. I typically carry my G26/SuperTuck combo at 4:30-5:00 o'clock, depending on how the belt loops on my pants are arranged. As long as I don't bend over too far at the waist, the combo conceals VERY WELL under just a light t-shirt. Because of the size of the holster and how far the belt clips are spread out, it pulls the butt right into my waist. I've carried with other holsters with the G26 and I've never found a holster that conceals like the SuperTuck. When combined with the comfort of the holster, I honestly don't think I'd ever CCW any gun in anything but a SuperTuck.
I pocket carry with a Galco Horsehide holster and IWB carry with a Tommy Theis horsehide. Tommy's holsters are priced competitively compared to Galco, Crossbreed, or Comp-tac and are just as good quality if not better. Since I've put an inner-tube sleeve on my G26, I can carry it in the Theis with only a shirt covering it. Rides comfortably against the skin with no irritation.
I've carried my G26 in a Galco King-Tuk at about 4:00 for about 9 months, but kept having problems with the smooth leather backing sliding around on my underwear which had me constantly fidgeting with it and pulling my pants up. Not a good way to carry because it's obvious you are packing. A friend gave me a double-thickness belt to use WHICH MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD. I couldn't believe the difference in stability from using the thicker belt. I also found that the gun printed way less and was more comfortable carrying at 3-3:30 than at 4:00 and is easier to get to, especially when sitting. I can go all day this way with no problems.
I also just got a Tacti-Pak Fusion-Pak IWB holster.
It differs from the King-Tuk in that it has it's own Elastic velcro belt that holds it on, so it's independent of your belt or pants. The backing is made from ballistic nylon/foam/nylon instead of leather so it doesn't slide around so much and doesn't get slick with sweat on a hot day. You can wear it in just about any position you want and it stays put. I just got the thing, so I've only had one day to try it out so far. I've had it on since 9:30AM and it's 7:16PM now. This thing is pretty comfortable. It also works with my Glock 17 as well. You can wear it with gym shorts, pajamas or whatever. It took over 4 weeks to get it, but I'm thinking it was worth the wait.
90% of the time I carry my G26 in a Galco Ankle Lite. I carry it on the inside of my left leg!
IWB Don Hume is great. Amazingly enough it fit both my CZ75 and my Nano.
My Fobus paddle holster conceals suprisingly well
I carry my G26 in either Crossbreed SuperTuck or my Remora.
Both do it well, it I had to have just one it would be the Crossbreed.
Pocket Carry with a Glock 26? Good grief, get the right tool for the right job!
I carry my G26 IWB in a horsehide White Hat holster.
Pocket carry or GLOCK SPORT COMBAT HOLSTER.
The best holster ever!
G26 in CCWBreakaways I have the shorts in cargo and pants in cargo the pockets are the holsters. I've carried the 26 and the 17 in those.
If I don't have clean pants cargo pants with desantis nemesis.
The last way is Crossbreed supertuck IWB though that is usually how I carry the 17. Though I've carried the 26 that way too.

I use a DeSantis Inner Piece, and I really like it. I live in Florida, and it has a little less material against you so it is not as hot as some bulkier holsters, but stability is good.
I have a Nemesis, too, but I use it only rarely.
Galco King Tuk or Sticky Holster http://stickyholsters.com/
Holds my 26 like a rock!!
I started to carry a G26 IWB with a crossbreed supertuck @ 3:30-4ish, it carries awesome after broken in.
Don Hume IWB, when I carry the 27
Wife uses an IWB DeSantis Softuck. All leather, adjustable cant and renforced top for easy reholster. Great fit too, all for about $15. at Natchez. If they made one for my G30 I would have one too.
OWB in Raven Concealment Kydex but still looking for IWB holster that is comfortable. Currently looking at N82.
Does Cross Breed really take weeks to get the holster to you?
I have an MTAC and I would really like to try the Super Tuck... preferably before I no longer qualify for a refund from Comp-Tac.
I'd really like to do a direct comparo between the two holsters.
Comp-Tac Infidel at the moment. For not having any leather its still comfy for me.
Well, it's been about a month since I got my Tacti-Pac Fusion-Pac holster. I don't wear the King-Tuk any more. I wear the Fusion-Pac every day at about the 3:30 position and after a short while, I forget it's there. I can use it for my Glock 26 or my Glock 17. My American Derringer 38 spl. even fits in there. This is the most comfortable, versatile holster I have ever tried. The best part is since it has it's own belt, you can wear it with anything. My only regret is not ordering it with a magazine holder.
