A Labor Department official said claims are volatile in July due to temporary layoffs in the automotive industry.

Bureaucrat speak for, "It's not Obama's fault."

I think you misread the article. Jobless claims were expected to rise based on analysts' estimates, however, they rose less than expected.

The unwinding of the largest credit bubble in the history of the world will be long and painful. It is only just beginning. We need "austerity" in the U.S. before it is forced upon us by the markets as is now happening in Greece and Spain. It is discouraging that the American populace refuses to accept this FACT and get behind politicians with the balls to tell you the truth and actually do something about it.

The deeper the hole is dug, the more dirt it takes to fill it in.

Have you noticed that every damn quarter (or week) the new number is "unexpected?" Unseen and always nowhere near what they projected?

These are the same people that saw NONE of the 2008 "crash/correction or whatever you want to call it" coming at all.

I would NOT place too much trust in these people...they are like monkeys throwing darts at a dartboard in their "expectations."

LOL

The problem is worse than that.

The 'comrades' think that people are going to work for the greater glory of communism, and they are going to take the credit. "You didn't build that" ...

Not going to happen. The producers always go 'John Galt'

Communism never worked and never will.

We need to send this American-style cancer to the dustbin of history.

So, we're heading in the wrong direction, but not as fast as we thought we would be? :dunno:

I guess I'll sleep better tonight knowing that.
