Has anyone heard of when or if they are going to revise the G36 with Gen 4 upgrade?

I would think while they are retooling they should redesign the grip to just a make it a flush fit without the stupid mag base pad currently in use as it serves no purpose, it would eliminate pinching and just look better.

Rant deleted.

I really just want them to release a single stack 9mm@

Well after that helpful rant, I'll give you my opinion. The 36 is one of the slowest selling of all Glocks....maybe the slowest taking the comp models out of the equation. Therefore I would guess that it would be toward the last of the Gen4 makeovers. That's assuming that it makes the cut at all. I would bet that even the Gaps outsell the 36 simply because of LE sales. I love the 36 and won't part with mine but there's no denying it's a slow seller. BTW, you can purchase a thin rubber O-ring and slip it over your mag - that will eliminate the pinching issue.

I agree. The 36 isn't a big seller and my guess is sales are continuing to go down; especially with the XDS on the market.

I really think they could sell a ****load more if they would make it thin like the current 36 but maybe springfield champion size 4" barrel, 5" height.

5 days since the thread has been open, hundreds of people per day who check General Glocking, and only one guy who wants the Gen4 G36~

When one arrives in my friend's shop it rarely lasts 48 hours.

I got to shoot a XDs and is not as accurate as my 36. I am sure it is great point and shoot like a snubbie (with a lot more wallop), but I can shoot my 36 very accurately at 25 yards off-hand (2.5 group on a good non windy day). 4th gen maybe a good idea, but Glock moves at their own speed.

I am really hoping that glock decides to release a gen 4 36. If they do I will be buying one for sure. However I did read a thread that mentioned a gen 4 36 was not slated for release in the upcoming year (2013):crying:

Glock can put me on the waiting list for the Gen4 36. I am going to buy one if they decide to make them. Mean while, I wouldn't mind a reduced capacity mag with a flush fit floor plate as an option.

I recently purchased a long awaited bi-tone XDs, took it to the range twice and decided it was too thin for me,I had to re-grip after every round, it did conceal well but just was not comfortable to me.I had been carrying the 27 so long that when I picked up the XDs it just didn't feel right. I consigned it and purchased the Glock36 the same day.
The XDs did however sell within 2 days. They are really hard to find in this area.

Just received blue label G36 after presenting GSSF certificate. Comfortable, easy to conceal in Galco IWB king tuk, and accurate groupings at the range. Got it for $448.00 LEO discount in Cincinnati, OH. Retailed normally at $547.00 here in southwest Ohio. I use it as my EDC. Have the G30 and like it also...guess I have a winter gun and a summer one.
